City and Arsenal are believed to have sent scouts to monitor Costa but his signature will be costly. The goalkeeper is protected by a €75m (£63m) release clause so Porto will be keen to sell for no less than that figure.
Elsewhere, TeamTalk reports that Pep Guardiola may be looking to sell Matheus Nunes this summer. After joining from Wolverhampton Wanderers last summer, the 25-year-old made 31 appearances in all competitions but most of these came off the bench.
It is claimed that Guardiola has 'lost all faith' in Nunes and is eager to sell the midfielder as part of a major reshuffle of the midfield.
