Oscar Bobb might have only just taken the first steps in his fledging career, but the Manchester City prospect has done enough to win over two men who matter most to the Norwegian.
The fleet-footed winger, 20, saw a pathway into the first-team squad created for him this summer when his fellow Academy graduate Cole Palmer was allowed to leave for Chelsea with £42.5million clinched for his signature. Since then, Bobb has made five appearances for City in all competitions.
He was also handed his senior debut by Norway and played both matches during the ongoing international break. Important milestones for him, they have been backed up by comments from high-profile figures.

It was only a few days ago that Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard locked horns with youngster Bobb - albeit as an unused substitute - when the Gunners overcame City in the Premier League showdown. In the days that followed, playmaker Odegaard got to see up close what all the fuss has been about.
The 24-year-old said: "It's great to see young Norwegian players [including Bobb] come forward and dare to show themselves. They dare to play and are, perhaps, also a little unorthodox compared to what we have seen before in Norway, they dribble a lot and challenge.
"You can see that it becomes dangerous as soon as Nusa comes on the field, the same with Oscar, who is fantastic with the ball. It's fun to watch and it's great to have them here, it's well deserved. They both show that they belong at this level." High praise indeed from the Norway skipper.
