Manchester United are reportedly considering Thomas Meunier as an 'alternative' to Barcelona's Sergino Dest ahead of the transfer deadline.
According to The Telegraph, Borussia Dortmund are 'desperate to sell' Meunier this summer in order to remove his €150,000 (£129,000) weekly wage from their salary bill. United are also believed to be interested in signing Dest from Barcelona, but time is running out for both parties to reach a compromise over a deal for the 21-year-old. The club are reportedly looking to move on Aaron Wan-Bissaka should either of Dest or Meunier sign ahead of the September 1 deadline – with former club Crystal Palace said to be one of the sides interested in the defender.
