Newcastle United have included a recall clause in the deal that has seen Manchester United sign goalkeeper Martin Dubravka on a season-long loan.
Following confirmation of the capture of Antony on deadline day morning, United completed their second signing of the day with the addition of the Slovakian goalkeeper. The 33-year-old, who joined Newcastle back in 2018, has joined the Reds on a season-long deal, with the option to make it permanent next summer.
United have paid a £2million loan fee to bring the former Sparta Prague shot-stopper to Old Trafford and have an obligation to sign him if he makes a fixed number of Premier League appearances. He will provide competition for current No.1 David de Gea.

Following United's decision to send Dean Henderson out on loan to Nottingham Forest earlier this summer, the club has been keen to recruit a second-choice goalkeeper, with Tom Heaton the only other senior member of the goalkeeping department alongside De Gea. Dubravka is expected to leapfrog Heaton in the pecking order and become the Reds' first choice back-up option, meaning he could feature in the likes of the FA Cup, Carabao Cup and Europa League.
However, for their own protection, Newcastle, as reported by our sister title - Chronicle Live - have the option to recall Dubravka, should Nick Pope or any other member of their own goalkeeping department pick up an injury. In the event of that happening, United could be find themselves in danger if De Gea picks up an injury of his own.
