Martin Dubravka is set to accomplish a career ambition at Manchester United this season.
After United announced on Tuesday that an agreement had been reached to sign Antony from Ajax, the club will make Dubravka their sixth and final signing of the summer transfer window. The 33-year-old will be brought in to provide competition to David de Gea.
De Gea has been criticised at times already this campaign and, with Dean Henderson on loan at Nottingham Forest, there has been a shortage of options for Erik ten Hag to call upon between the sticks. As for Dubravka, he had seen his involvement at St James' Park fazed out since the arrival of Nick Pope in the summer.

The Slovakian did not feature in the matchday squad at all on Sunday as Eddie Howe's side drew at Wolves. Dubravka's imminent departure comes just three years after he signed a long-term contract with Newcastle United.
At the time when he signed the deal, Dubravka explained his ambitions for the north east club which included a career ambition which he will now be able to accomplish at Old Trafford this season. Speaking to NUTV, he explained: "I would like to put this club a little higher in the table.
"It definitely deserves to be higher. It’s a great club with a great history and the dressing room is full of great players so the only thing is bringing it on the pitch, bringing this club much higher.
"It deserves to play in the Europe leagues – that’s my goal – so hopefully step by step we can put the club where it should be. I think the club’s invested money and also they want to be part of the community of teams who can fight for the Europa League.
