Two walkers had to be rescued from the Cairngorms after getting into difficulty during Storm Kathleen.
Rescue workers raced to the Lochnagar area after the pair ended up stuck in treacherous weather conditions on Friday. Images shared by both the Braemar and Aberdeen Mountain Rescue teams showed the horror conditions they faced to locate the walkers.
It came as Scotland faced dreadful weather conditions amid Storm Kathleen, with winds of over 90mph recorded in the Cairngorms.
Mountain rescue workers have now reminded those venturing into the mountains to take extra care during adverse weather and to ensure they are well prepared.
Braemar MRT wrote on X (formerly Twitter): "Callout last night with @AberdeenMRT for 2 walkers in difficulty on Lochnagar. Located safe and well in the wee small hours.
