Wolverhampton Wanderers will demand a fee in excess of £60million for Manchester City target Matheus Nunes, according to reports.
The Manchester Evening News understands that City are considering a late move for the 24-year-old, who Pep Guardiola described last year as 'one of the best players in the world'. Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze is also on the club's radar after an £80m deal for Lucas Paqueta fell through for the West Ham man.
City have been long-term admirers of both Nunes and Eze, honing in on them as potential signings after Kevin De Bruyne underwent surgery on a hamstring injury. However, Wolves are desperate not to lose their man so close to the deadline and, as such, talkSPORT reports that they have slapped a £60m price tag on him.
The Midlands club have already offloaded four key first-team players to raise £83m amid financial concerns at Molineux. However, Nunes' exit would force them to enter the market and with just nine days to go, it would take a mammoth bid for them to even consider negotiating.

But he is yet to be involved in competitive action and has been in talks over a loan move to Barcelona. The Spanish side are said to have an option to make the move permanent for around €30m, and Cancelo could make his debut against Osasuna next weekend.
