A 36-year-old man has appeared in court accused of plotting to kidnap and murder This Morning presenter Holly Willoughby.
Gavin Plumb appeared at Chelmsford Magistrates Court today after being arrested in Harlow this week, Essex Live reports.
Essex Police confirmed today (October 6) that they had arrested a man on Wednesday (October 4). Plumb, of Potters Field, is charged with soliciting to commit murder, and incitement to commit kidnap.

Appearing on court dressed in a green T-shirt with a shaved head, beard and thin moustache, Plumb spoke only to confirm his name and date of birth. He remained impassive throughout the hearing and did not enter a plea.
The case was referred to Chelmsford Crown Court, where Plumb will appear on November 3 for a plea and trial preparation hearing. District Judge Caroline Jackson told Plumb he faces “really serious allegations” and remanded him in custody until his next court appearance.
Mum of three Holly, 42, has reportedly been placed under police guard. The ITV presenter was replaced by Alison Hammond on Thursday this week due to concerns for her safety.
Detective Superintendent Rob Kirby, of Essex Police, previously said: “This was an extremely fast paced investigation, with many of our officers and national partners working overnight to secure these charges. The safeguarding of any victim is paramount and we will continue to prioritise this and working with the Metropolitan Police Service as the investigation proceeds.”
A spokesperson for ITV said: "This news has come as a huge shock to everyone at This Morning and ITV. We are providing all of the support we can to Holly and her family at this incredibly distressing
