Lorraine Kelly has given fans a health update on her mum after she was rushed to hospital earlier this summer.
The Scots broadcaster, 63, took to social media to share the happy news that her mum Anne was in good spirits following a recent illness as she enjoyed a day out with her dad. Lorraine previously told fans in June that her mum had been admitted to hospital but didn't divulge much more information online.
Sharing a photo of her parents looking happy, Lorraine wrote: "Six weeks ago mum was in @nhslanarkshire Monklands Hospital - thanks to fantastic care she received there and to my brother @grahamk89 looking after her - she’s now out galavanting!"
She added: "Here she is today with my dad. She’s heading south next week to see us. #amazing #miracle #family #happy."
Fans flocked to the comments to send well-wishes to Lorraine and her family, as one penned: "So glad your mum is better Lorraine! The staff at The Monklands from the Receptionists to the Surgeons are fantastic! You are so lucky to still have your Mum & Dad! Treasure them!"
Another penned: "Monklands is an amazing hospital, they were amazing with my dad many years ago, so glad your mum is doing so well xx," while a third wrote: "A great pic of the wonderful Mrs Kelly looking as beautiful as ever! X."

Lorraine's mum Anne was rushed to hospital in August last year after she was diagnosed with nephrotic syndrome, a condition that stops the kidneys from functioning properly.
