Emmerdale viewers are convinced Ethan Anderson (played by Emile John) is set to head down a dark path in the wake of him stepping in to help Suni when he was attacked for homophobic reasons during the dramatic club night last week. And the latest instalment saw fans predicting that he could even team up with the village badboy Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) upon his return.

Ethan later told his dad, vicar Charles, that he was fed up of being the good guy and it was clear to fans that he is headed down a dark path. Revealing that he'd given Amit and Caleb the details of the man who attacked Suni, Ethan responded to his dad's worries about them hurting the man in a deadly voice: "I'm counting on it." He later told the vicar that the situation had changed his view on the world completely and he was sick of being on the right side of the law.
"All my life all I've done is the right thing," he spat. "I made a career from it and where did it get me? A system that was willing to believe the worst in me and a company that didn't hesitate to distance themselves from me.
"Please, tell me why I should get back into bed with the company," Ethan added, before storming out of the pub. "I need some air." Ethan, who is a qualified lawyer, had joined Suni, Nicky and Gabby Thomas on a rare night out last week, but things took a horrifying turn when the group came across a nasty piece of work
