Emmerdale star Roxy Shahidi shares cheeky real reason for doing Dancing on Ice as she makes 'awful' prediction

Emmerdale star Roxy Shahidi had a cheeky response when she was asked why she had signed up for the upcoming series of Dancing on Ice. The actress was talking as the ITV soap filmed festive proposal scenes in Leeds with none other than Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean.
The ITV skating show's judges will make a cameo appearance in the show this Christmas when Belle decides to pull out all the stops to pop the question to boyfriend Tom King after his failed proposal in the autumn.
But back to Roxy and the actress, known for playing Leyla Cavanagh in Emmerdale, joins former world champion boxer Ricky Hatton, Coronation Street actress Claire Sweeney, singer Hannah Spearritt, West End star Amber Davies and Olympian Greg Rutherford in the 2024 series of Dancing on Ice.

Also making up the show's line-up are TV personality Miles Nazaire, comedian and writer Lou Sanders, actor Ricky Norwood, radio presenter Adele Roberts, actor Ryan Thomas and Olympian Eddie “The Eagle” Edward who has replaced Gogglebox star Stephen Webb after he broke his left ankle during ice skating training.
Roxy follows a long line of Emmerdale stars who have taken part in the competition including on-screen family Matthew Wolfenden (David Metcalfe) and Joe-Warren Plant (Jacob Gallagher).
