Former Emmerdale star Kelli Hollis has given fans a peek into her new life after leaving the soap. Kelli, 47, who played Ali Spencer on the hit ITV soap from 2011 to 2015 has revealed she now runs a 'weed bar' in Thailand, having left the UK for a more relaxed lifestyle.
Kelli admitted to missing home but can't see herself returning to the hustle and bustle of her old life, reports RSVP Live. Speaking to the Daily Star, she said: "I am never coming home, never going home.
Obviously, I miss England and there are aspects of my life there like I have two grown-up children at home and a grandson." The actress shared that recent losses have made her reassess her priorities. "You only live once and I have learned that a lot over the last few years, losing friends to things and my friend losing a child and it just makes you access a lot of things in your life." As she approaches 50, the Leeds native is embracing life's pleasures and seizing opportunities.
She added: "You just have to do what you have to do because you are not promised tomorrow are you? My mentality now is I am nearly 50 f*** it will just do it.
There is no point having that 'oh god I can't do this and I can't do that' attitude. I have been so fortunate in my life that opportunities have come my way." Kelli has also taken a surprising career turn, launching her own business selling cannabis edibles.
She opened up about her past with the drug, sharing that she would smoke "a little bit" as a youngster but has never been a "big heavy smoker". Adding that she didn't like the "feeling of being stoned and I know some people do." Kelli revealed that her new venture came about by a 'total accident' after she moved to Thailand when her partner landed a job in Bangkok.
