Coronation Street's Peter Barlow, played by Chris Gascoyne, is set to leave the Cobbles after 23 years.The actor first appeared as Peter in 2000 during Corrie's 40th anniversary live episode, and has had a few stints on and off the show since then. Chris left the role in 2003, returned in 2007 for a brief stint, and then came back full-time in 2008.
