Headie One and Fred again.. Announce New Mixtape Ft. Jamie xx, FKA twigs, and Sampha

Today (April 20), Mike Dean, the producer/multi-instrumentalist known for his work with Kanye West and Travis Scott, has released a new instrumental mixtape titled 4:20. “I have always had this idea that I wanted to release my own music on the date 4/20,” Dean explained in a press release.

Matthew Dear has announced a new techno project called Brain, as Resident Advisor points out. He’s also shared “Boss,” the lead single from Brain’s forthcoming release The World EP, which arrives May 15 via Detroit label Planet E Communications. Listen to “Boss” below.

Snoop Dogg is teaming up with Australian wine brand 19 Crimes for his very own vino. Snoop Cali Red marks the brand’s first-ever California wine, as well as the launch of a multi-year partnership between the veteran rapper and wine company. Naeem Juwan, the Baltimore-born and Los Angeles–based artist formerly known as Spank Rock, has announced his new album Startisha. The LP is out June 12 via 37d03d. According to a press release, Naeem began working on Startisha four years ago in Philadelphia. He later continued work on the record at Justin Vernon’s home studio. Startisha features contributions from Vernon, Francis and the Lights, Ryan Olson, Swamp Dogg, Velvet Negroni, Amanda Blank, and Micah James.

Bing & Ruth, the project led of New York composer David Moore, has announced a new album. Species is out July 17 via 4AD. Moore’s also shared a new video for the new song “I Had No Dream.” Watch it below.

Amnesia Scanner—the Berlin-based duo of Ville Haimala and Martti Kalliala—are back with a new album. It’s called Tearless and it’s set to arrive on June 5 via PAN. Phoebe Bridgers has announced her sophomore solo album: Punisher is out June 19 via Dead Oceans. Back in 2011, Baths released Pop Music / False B-Sides, a collection of tracks that did not make the cut for his 2010 debut Cerulean. Now, he’s back with a sequel: Pop Music / False B-Sides II features songs that were considered for 2013’s Obsidian and 2017’s Romaplasm. Over a decade after their 2009 debut album II, Desire—the project fronted by Megan Louise—have announced their second album. It’s called Escape, and it arrives this summer via Italians Do It Better.
