Wireless Festival has moved to London’s Finsbury Park – and will now take place there every summer until 2027.Despite the opposition of having the festival occur at the famous park, Haringey Council signed a five-year deal with Festival Republic, the promoter of Wireless, claiming that the event will raise “significant income’ for North London as well as boost the local economy.Wireless was previously arranged on a year-by-year basis with past venues including Hyde Park, Harewood House and the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. The festival, which draws up to 50,000 people a day, has been held annually in Finsbury Park since 2014 except for 2020-2021 due to COVID restrictions.The deal also gives Festival Republic permission to hold a second weekend of major events in the park.

Thirty Seconds To Mars, Self Esteem and other acts have been added to BBC Radio One‘s Big Weekend 2023 line-up.Jonas Brothers, Headie One, Tom Grennan, Jess Glynne, Rudimental, Pale Waves, Mimi Webb, ArrDee, Romy, Joel Corry, FLO, Piri, and The Snuts are also the latest additions to the three-day festival, which takes place over Dundee’s Camperdown Park between May 26 and May 28.On Saturday, 27 May, Jonas Brothers and The 1975 will headline the main stage, with Jonas Brothers opening and The 1975 closing. British rapper Headie One has been sentenced to six months in prison for possession of a bladed article. The U.K. drill artist was sentenced to the prison term at Wood Green Crown Court in London on Friday, January 3 a spokesperson for the court confirmed to The FADER. The charge follows Headie One's, real name Irving Adjei, arrest in June 2019 after police discovered a lock knife when his car was stopped and searched.
