Joe Otterson TV Reporter Margaret Qualley has been cast as Amanda Knox in an untitled limited series that has been ordered at Hulu, Variety has learned. Hulu has ordered eight one-hour episodes. The official description states that the show is “based on the true story of how Knox was wrongfully convicted for the murder of her roommate Meredith Kercher and her 16-year odyssey to set herself free.” KJ Steinberg (“This Is Us,” “Mistresses,” “Gossip Girl”) serves as writer and executive producer on the series.

Dash Mihok (“Ray Donovan,” “Romeo + Juliet”), Britne Oldford (“Dead Ringers,” “The Umbrella Academy”), Matthew Del Negro (“The Sopranos,” “City on a Hill”), Harriet Sansom Harris (“Licorice Pizza,” “Phantom Thread”), Patch Darragh (“Succession,” “The Path”), and Perry Mattfeld (“In the Dark,” “Shameless”) have all joined the series. Inspired by the Robert McCammon novel “Stinger,” the series is said to follow “a disparate group of people in rural Georgia who must come together in the face of a mysterious threat in order to survive.” Speedman will play James Chenoweth, while Strahovski will star as Maggie Chenoweth.
