A gang of five men who hunted down and brutally murdered a dad and attacked his brother have been jailed for at least 125 years.
The killers clinically hunted down Haji Choudhary Rab Nawaz and his brother before stabbing the former in the heart outside a mosque.
The gang was made up of brothers Adam Razaaq, Hasnian Razaaq and Hasham Razaaq, along with their relatives Faisal Mohammed and Jenaid Mahmood.
A court heard the attack was over an ongoing family feud, with the gang "acting as a pack" after plotting the murderous attack.
A plan was hatched in just under a hour after the group spotted the brothers in a prayer room during a funeral at a mosque in a 'chance encounter'. People, including other worshipers, looked on in horror as the killers attacked with knives and an extendable baton.
The victims tried to seek refuge inside the mosque but the gang chased them and continued the assault near the doorway, reports Birmingham Live.
The five men from Birmingham and the Black Country were today jailed for life for Mr Nawaz's murder, as well as the attempted murder of Mr Nawaz's brother, at Warwick Crown Court.
Mohammed sunk a knife 'hard' into Mr Nawaz's chest and through his heart. The victim grabbed the knife as his blood 'shed in drops' on the killer's phone.
All five men - aged between 19 and 30 - were jointly involved in the violence, the court was told, although it was Adam Razaaq who injured the deceased man's brother.
Judge Lockhart KC said: "Extraordinarily, this man was your uncle. Even more extraordinary is that you attacked [both men] as they left the mosque where they had attended funeral prayers for your extended family."
He added: "None of you have shown a scrap of remorse of a tangible nature." Mr Nawaz's brother
