Emmerdale star Lucy Pargeter has sent a simple message to fans after Chas Dingle was given a heartbreaking cancer diagnosis. Last week, viewers of the ITV soap saw Chas undergoing tests after Dr Liam Cavanagh discovered a lump in her breast during a romantic moment.
Emmerdale previously announced the storyline, adding that the show is working closely with Breast Cancer Now to portray Chas's journey. Then, during Monday night's (January 22) trip to the Dales, Chas was devastated to be diagnosed with breast cancer.

Worried, she asked Liam to accompany her to the hospital where the consultant explained that Chas has triple negative breast cancer – the same kind of cancer that her late mother Faith Dingle also had.

She was later seen opening her booklet from the hospital featuring informational leaflets while bursting into tears at seeing her name on the notes.
