The teenager, who was celebrating his birthday party with twin Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey), unfortunately fell unconscious as a result of carbon monoxide poisoning in his flat. The character had retreated with a pack of beer after it was revealed that he had kissed his sister's girlfriend Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher), leaving Asha fuming.
Asha went to the flat and let herself in, but upon seeing her brother seemingly asleep on the sofa, surrounded by empty beer cans, the angry teen mistakenly assumed he'd passed out after drinking too much. Luckily, one of Aadi's friends went to see him, and called an ambulance straight away when they realised something was wrong. As an anxious Dev Alahan (Jimmi Harkishin) demanded to know what had happened, the doctor said it could have been "fatal" if they hadn't picked up Aadi in time, and the character was "just lucky someone came along".
While it appeared Aadi had been saved just in the nick of time, fans know that Asha had abandoned her brother in her rage, as she later insisted she didn't have a brother anymore. "I'm telling you now. He's dead to me," she said, as fans were convinced that Coronation Street was headed the same direction of Emmerdale's recent heartbreaking plot which saw Heath Hope killed.
