Emmerdale has aired another shocking death, and it has left the villagers stunned. Last Thursday, the show aired the sad death of popular villager Rishi Sharmer, and tonight Lloyd Sawyer was pronounced dead. Lloyd has been in a coma for weeks following an attack from mechanic Dan Spencer.
Lloyd had been stalking Dan's daughter Amelia online after finding her videos on the internet. He then went a step further and turned up at the salon to see Amelia, and he left the youngster spooked. Looking to protect his daughter, Dan warned Lloyd to stay away, but he didn't listen.
Looking to see Amelia again, Lloyd returned to the village, and when Dan spotted him, he lost his temper. Dan punched Lloyd, and as he fell to the ground, he smacked his head on a rock, causing serious damage. Dan was then charged with grievous bodily harm, and tonight he pleaded guilty to the charge at his plea hearing.This left Amelia devastated as she started to prepare herself for life without her dad.
When a struggling Dan returned to the village, Lloyd's wife Julie was soon on hand to deliver the shocking development. As she approached Dan, she shouted the heartbreaking news that her husband had died while she was in court watching Dan. As Dan walked away, Julie shouted abuse at him, calling him a murderer, leaving him stunned with the news.
It is now likely that his charge will change, and he could face a long period of time behind bars. Shortly after a heartbroken Amelia returned home to pack her things as she couldn't face her father. Her world came crashing down once again as Dan broke the news to her that Lloyd has passed away.
