Emmerdale fans have been left fearing that Leyla Harding and Harriet Finch could be dead after murderer Meena Jutla attacked them during Tuesday's chilling episode. During the latest instalment, Meena, who kidnapped Dawn Taylor in a limo during her Valentine's Day wedding, drove to a remote viaduct as she revealed that she had groom Billy Fletcher in the boot.
Meena then held them both at gunpoint as she said: "Someone once told me real love is when you're prepared to stand in front of someone and take a bullet for them." The unhinged nurse then threatened to kill the newlyweds unless Billy chose to either save himself or Dawn, to which he picked to save the latter as he declared: "Me, I choose me, I'd always stand in front of you [Dawn]." However, in a cruel twist of fate, Leyla went out in search of the newlyweds after realising that their limousine had gone missing and not arrived to the Home Farm reception.
As she drove along the road, she suddenly spotted Meena holding Billy and Dawn hostage as she shouted: "No, oh God no!" and attempted to reverse. Meena then fired her gun at Leyla's car with the third bullet hitting her as the vehicle came to a stop and her head rested on the steering wheel with the horn sounding out.
The evil nurse then sang: "Roses are red, violets are blue, Leyla is going to die in front of you!" as she went to check on Leyla's lifeless body and chucked her car keys over the viaduct. Dawn then asked if Leyla was alive as Meena replied: "I'd love to tell you it's just a flesh wound! Oh sorry, I was just wondering what I'm going to wear to the funeral, does that answer your question?"
