Emmerdale fans rejoice as murderer Meena is finally put into police custody

Emmerdale's murderer Meena Jutla finally appeared to get her comeuppance on Thursday's episode as she was questioned by the police. Only recently, Liam Cavanagh pushed Meena off the same bridge that she murdered his daughter Leanna after she shared sick details about killing his child.
It came after Meena kidnapped Dawn Taylor in a limo during her Valentine's Day wedding to Billy Fletcher with the evil nurse also leaving Leyla Harding and Harriet Finch for dead after attacking them. During the latest instalment, it looked as though Meena wouldn't survive the fall as she was rushed to hospital while Liam and Manpreet Sharma, who witnessed the commotion, pretended it had been in self-defence.

However, their plan backfired when Meena, who underwent surgery, survived and regained consciousness after the fall as she told police it had nothing to do with self-defence and Liam was arrested with Manpreet questioned.
Later in the episode, the police went to visit Meena in hospital as they shared details about the ongoing case as they said it was "her word against theirs". Meena was left furious as she declared: "Look at me! I'm only lying here because Liam attacked me and now they're trying to cover it up!" To which the police replied: "We're satisfied there's no further investigation to be made.

Meena then pretended to be in pain as she called out for a doctor as the police pointed out: "Funny that, because they told us you're doing well. In fact, they're discharging you from ICU."
