An EastEnders icon is reprising her role 31 years after her first appearance on the BBC soap. It’s been over four years since she last appeared on the show, but now Bianca Jackson will be making a comeback to our screens as actress Patsy Palmer returns to Walford for a short stint this spring.
Dancing on Ice star Patsy also returned briefly in 2019, and now BBC bosses have confirmed that a new storyline will see Whitney and Zack visit Bianca in Milton Keynes following her off-screen break-up with Terry. The star first arrived on the soap in 1993 as the fiery, sharp-tongued daughter of Carol Jackson.
She remains connected to some of the most well-known characters on the show through the Branning family and step-daughter Whitney Dean, played by Shona McGarty, and sister Sonia Fowler, played by Natalie Cassidy. Bianca has appeared on Albert Square for a collective 13 years and has been involved in some of the programme's most dramatic storylines over the years.
She famously discovered that David Wicks was her dad, and fans may remember her tumultuous relationship with Ricky Butcher or her involvement in Whitney’s abuse within the family storyline, which aired in 2008. And, of course, it won’t be long before chaos ensues following her latest impending return, as fans can expect a special episode focusing on Whitney and the drama she faces during her visit to see Bianca in Milton Keynes.
Speaking about her excitement over taking on the role of Bianca again, Patsy Palmer said: “I’m so excited to be reprising the role of Bianca. "EastEnders holds such a special place in my heart, so it’s always a pleasure to be back.” Chris Clenshaw, Executive Producer, added: “I’m thrilled to welcome the fabulous Patsy back to the iconic role
