Xavi is drawing up several potential cheap targets to fill the void, and Sport says Van de Beek is one possibility. The report adds, though, there are concerns over the midfielder, who has not played consistent football for at least two years.
Van de Beek suffered a knee injury which required surgery back in January, ruling him out for half of 2023. He has been unable to impress former Ajax boss Erik ten Hag since his return and has now decided an exit is the only way forward.
