This Morning was again dedicated to memories and tributes for the Queen today (September 13) as the nation continues its period of national mourning following her death last week. Soap expert Sharon Marshall joined hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield to discuss some of the occasions when Her Majesty visited the sets of some of the nation's best loved soaps: EastEnders, Coronation Street and Emmerdale.

In the wake of the Queen's death, there have been massive changes to the regular TV schedules as the country observes a period of national mourning. BBC One and ITV changed their schedules to accommodate breaking news coverage of the momentous event, and a number of special programmes celebrating the long and historic reign of Queen Elizabeth II went on air in the place of the usual shows.

EastEnders fans were left devastated on Wednesday's episode as two characters left Albert Square after evil Janine Butcher set up Linda Carter to social services. Only recently, Janine blackmailed Jada Lennox as she demanded she plant empty bottles of alcohol and call social services, pretending that Linda was drinking again. However, Jada had a change of heart as she refused to go along with the scheme and even accused Janine of being "jealous" due to Linda's bond with her ex Mick Carter, who is dating Janine.

Ashvin Luximon has died at the young age of 38 after a suffering an aneurysm, his family has confirmed.The EastEnders star, who is best known for playing the character Asif Mailk in the soap, has been honoured by his family, who set up a tribute site where people can donate to the NSPCC or Andy's Man Club. "This site is a tribute to Ash, who passed on the 23rd July 2022 due to a aneurysm," they wrote.

Rose Ayling-Ellis has announced a new TV project following her departure from BBC One soap EastEnders.The 27 year old actress, who recently shared a string of BTS snaps from her time on EastEnders, is set to front a new BBC documentary titled Signs For Change, which will focus on the daily challenges and barriers faced by deaf individuals. Strictly Come Dancing winner Rose will explore "positive movement for societal change" and inclusion for deaf individuals, while also using her own experiences pushing for change.

EastEnders is set to air a special flashback episode in September, which will see the history of the iconic Mitchell family unearthed for the first time. The one-off episode will transport viewers back to the winter of 1979 as the Mitchells attempt to navigate through economic turmoil in Britain.

Emmerdale actress Amy Walsh is set to get married to EastEnders' Toby-Alexander Smith after he proposed to her in Ibiza.Toby, 31, who plays the role of Gray Atkins, took to Instagram to announce the news. Sharing a snap of the pair smiling to the camera as Amy, 34, showcased her diamond ring, Toby wrote in the caption: "So this happened." On The Buses star Anna Karen reportedly left the majority of her fortune to her former EastEnders co-star Sophie Lawrence, following her death earlier this year.The actor tragically passed away in a house fire at her home in Ilford in February. After recently announcing her departure from EastEnders, actress Rose Ayling-Ellis has shared a secret from behind-the-scenes at the BBC One soap. Revealing an insight into the show, the Strictly Come Dancing champion exclusively told OK! how the washing machines in the programme’s famous laundrette aren’t real. She told us: “You know the washing machines in the laundrette? Well, they have a man behind them who winds them up to make them look like they’re real washing machines.
