Coronation Street star Sair Khan has told soap fans she's 'not okay' as she shared her reaction to a soap legend being killed off. While he doesn't appear alongside her on the cobbles, Bhasker Patel clearly meant a lot to the actress as she responded to his tragic exit from Emmerdale.
Bhasker has spent 12 years playing Rishi Sharma in the Yorkshire based-soap but his time in the Dales came to a shock end during Thursday night's edition of Emmerdale (July 27) as Rishi was seen laying lifeless at the bottom of the stairs after a recent rift with his son.
It's been a difficult couple of weeks for the character after his son, Jai, discovered he wasn't actually his biological father. The news came out as Jai and his partner Laurel Thomas decided to get engaged. When looking for his divorce papers to be able to get the ball rolling on a wedding as soon as possible, he was horrified to also find his adoption papers, confirming the dad he has known his whole life wasn't actually his dad.

There have since been numerous confrontations between the pair and one earlier this week looked set to completely end their relationship for good. But Jai's mum and Rishi's ex-wife Georgia wasn't going to let that happen as she arrived back in the village and got to work on fixing things.
Jai and Laurel's wedding day then arrived and there wasn't much time to, again, patch up their relationship as the truth about Jai's paternity came spilling out. Rishi eventually blurted out that Jai's father is actually his uncle after Georgia had a fling with Rishi's brother before Rishi did what he thought was the honourable thing and married Georgia to avoid
