Coronation Street star Daniel Brocklebank has heaped praise on his now-on-screen husband Peter Ash after viewers saw them tie the knot - twice - in the ITV soap. There was joy in Weatherfield on Monday night (October 2) as Billy tied the knot with Paul Foreman in front of their nearest and dearest in the Bistro.
The couple have somewhat fast-tracked their plans to get married after Paul was given the devastating news that he has Motor Neurone Disease, a fatal, rapidly progressing disease that affects the brain and spinal cord. Fans have been watching the emotional storyline unfold for weeks.
And while there have already been difficult scenes, and more to come as Paul's deterioration with the disease, which currently has no cure, continues, the wedding proved just the tonic to lift everyone's spirits.

As their wedding day arrived, and they said 'I Do' at the Bistro, there was a surprise for Billy - and viewers - as the archdeacon got the church wedding he didn't think he could have thanks to a bit of planning by Paul. Corrie viewers previously saw Paul disappointed to discover that he and Archdeacon Billy couldn't have any religious music at their nuptials.
But to fulfil Billy's faith, and to show his love for his now-husband, Paul set about a plan to make sure they both got their own church wedding experience.
