Coronation Street star engaged to long-term boyfriend as she shows off stunning ring

Coronation Street actress Sascha Parkinson is engaged to her long-term boyfriend, she has announced.
The actress, who played Sian Powers in the ITV soap, took to Instagram on Friday, 13 October, to share the news, alongside a picture of her stunning engagement ring.
The 31 year old captioned the post: “I knew you were likely to take a wife! SCREAMING." It looked like she was proposed to on a beautiful yacht, as other pictures showed her hugging her new fiancé, with a sunset in the background.
The pair then looked close as Sascha held her hand up to the camera to reveal the gorgeous ring. Celebrities were quick to congratulate the star.
Corrie actress Michelle Keegan, who played Tina McIntyre in the soap, commented: "Awwwww congratulations my darling! So happy for you!" while Ellie Leach, who played Faye Windass and is currently starring in Strictly Come Dancing, said: "OMG CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!". Ryan Thomas, better known as Weatherfield's Jason Grimwshaw, and who recently announced he'd be appearing in the next series of Dancing On Ice simply added: "Wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww." Fans also jumped on the comments, with one saying: "He’s a very lucky man, make sure he knows that," and another adding, "AAAAGHHHH! my heart just burst all over againnnn." Sascha first appeared in Coronation Street back in 2009, playing a friend of Sophie Webster, played by actress Brooke Vincent.
They swiftly went on to become the soap's first lesbian couple, but Sascha left after filming her last scenes in November 2011.
