Coronation Street star Tony Maudsley has excited one of his co-stars as he revealed how he's lending his skills to another show away from the cobbles. The actor is now known for playing George Shuttleworth in the ITV soap but is also famed for playing Kenneth Du Beke in Benidorm.
But in his latest gig, viewers won't actually be seeing him as he's instead blended his voice to a new programme starting on Channel 4. Tony took to Instagram to share how he is the narrator of Around the World in 80 Weighs.
According to Channel 4, the series sees six people from across Britain, who are each living with obesity, travel the globe to learn the diverse reasons why people around the world are affected by obesity.

Announcing his addition to the show, Tony shared a promo shot for the programme and typed on both his X and Instagram profiles: "AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 WEIGHS: A brand new series that I narrated, giving an eye opening look at how other cultures around the world view and manage obesity. First stop - Japan! Starts Tuesday 16th January at 9pm on Channel 4."
Tony's Corrie co-star Claire Sweeney was among the first to respond to the post, writing in the comments: "Ooohhhh can’t wait for this." And his fans and followers were also showing their support by vowing to watch.
