Coronation Street star Alan Halsall has sent a sweet message about 'family' but sparked a bit of confusion when documenting a reunion with his co-star. The actor took to social media as he got back into the swing of work following the Christmas and New Year break.
And Alan, who is famed for playing Tyrone Dobbs in the ITV soap, wasn't alone as he was back alongside on-screen wife Jennie McAlpine. It confirms the actress' return to the cobbles after she took maternity leave to welcome her third child into the world.

Doris was born just before midnight on April 4 at Manchester’s Wythenshawe Hospital, weighing 7lbs 11oz. She is a little sister for Jennie and Chris' two older children, Albert, eight, and four-year-old Hilda.

And now, nine months after her third child's arrival, Jennie is back on Corrie's Salford-based set. Taking to Instagram Alan posted a snap of the pair in their fictional home alongside their on-screen family - Dame Maureen Lipman (Evelyn Plummer), Claire Sweeney (Cassie Plummer), Isabelle Flanagan (Hope Dobbs) and Billie Naylor (Ruby Dobbs).
Captioning the beaming snap, Alan wrote: "No. 9. Family is the heart of the home. So happy to be Together again & back to work." Corrie co-star Andy Whyment, aka Kirk Sutherland, was among the first to comment on the post, writing: "Love this
