Thania Garcia Mitski has expanded her North American tour to include a slate of new dates in Michigan, Maryland, Ohio, Georgia, Texas, Colorado, Oregon and California. In support her last full length LP “The Land Is Inhospitable and So Are We,” Mitski will open the jaunt in Miami on Jan. 26 with support from already-announced acts Tamino, Sunny War, Julia Jacklin, Cowboy Junkies, and Sarah Kinsley.
Arlo Parks, Ethel Cain, Laufey, Wyatt Flores and the Japenese band Lamp will join her for the new shows that begin in August. The original tour was set to close on April 13 in Tennessee, but a new leg will begin later this fall and close on Sept. 26.
Mitski’s “The Land Is Inhospitable and So Are We” was released in September of last year and managed to earn her a new wave of listeners thanks to the success of the single “My Love Mine All Mine,” which took off on streaming and social media apps like TikTok. The single has earned over 400 million plays on Spotify and currently sits at No. 4 on Billboard’s TikTok Top 50 chart (dated Jan.
