Coronation Street star Sean Wilson chose a very different career path after turning his back on acting and exiting the ITV soap in 2005. Sean, 58, played Martin Platt in the soap from 1985 until 2005, and was involved in some big storylines including his marriage to Gail Platt (Helen Worth) and becoming dad to David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd).
After exiting Corrie, he appeared in a number of other TV dramas, such as Waterloo Road and Casualty, but ultimately decided to pursue a career as a chef and cheesemaker. Sean has enjoyed huge success in the culinary industry, with his third book, Jazz Food, having been released in November. The new book contains 44 recipes, such as salt crust beetroot and cheddar coated rib-eye steak.
Sean's recipes are accompanied by his paintings of singers Louis Armstrong and Nina Simone, as well as music suggestions to help enhance readers' cooking experience. Speaking about Jazz Food, Sean said: "In its truest form, jazz is American music developed from ragtime and blues.

Gastronomy is equally multi-faceted; a product of fine food availability, art, culture, time, geography and harder work.
These cats are running the same line, and have been bedfellows for many generations. "Jazz and food are both cultures of their people.
Their development and evolution is directly related to the cool ones that love them. As culture travels the globe, it changes to suit geographic tastes - you see this in both jazz and food.
These two genres are joined at the hip for reasons of culture,
