Coronation Street legend Sue Cleaver in intensive care dash after being forced to address dramatic weight loss 'scam'

Coronation Street legend Sue Cleaver has revealed she recently spent time in intensive care as she addressed her recent dramatic weight loss. Earlier this month the actress issued an apology to fans in a video posted to social media after being embroiled in a scam.
Sue, who is famed for playing Eileen Grimshaw in the ITV soap, has dropped several dress sizes since whilst on-screen - going from a size 16 to a 12. But the 59-year-old had to speak out on what caused her to lose the initial weight as she issued a scam alert to fans after false adverts claimed she had used weight loss supplements to drop the pounds.
"I’m really, really sad that I have to actually make this video. But I’ve had quite a lot of messages over the last couple of weeks asking me about keto dummies. There is obviously some scam going around saying that I lost weight using keto gummies. Well, it’s c**p. It’s a scam. And if you’ve been taken in by it, I am so, so sorry."

The soap star then raged in the clip shared on Instagram: "It’s outrageous. I just want you to know that I would never, ever, ever advocate anything like that. I’m incensed. I’m absolutely incensed."
Explaining the real reason behind her weight loss, she added: "Yes, I lost some weight last year. I stopped drinking and I went in the jungle. Yes, I have lost weight this year. But not from any diet. I had some ‘women’s health issues’ and I lost quite a lot of weight. Too much weight. I look shocking at the minute. And I’m actually trying to put on weight."
