Actress Samia Longchambon, who plays Maria Connor in the popular ITV soap, took to Instagram to share that she had to abandon filming due to torrential rainfall. Sharing a video of herself and an umbrella, she added the text: "Rained off on the cobbles this morning...
great start to a Monday @coronationstreet." Samia's co-star Colson Smith, who plays Craig Tinker, shared his regret over his clothing as he arrived on set in shorts and yellow sliders. Sharing a snap, he wrote: "I almost had to go into the winter wardrobe this morning", alongside a frozen emoji. The filming setback comes as the UK continues to be hit with the aftermath of Hurricane Lee, with much of the country being issued a yellow weather warning.
