Coronation Street star Liam McCheyne has said it's been a 'long wait' as he officially marked his return to the cobbles. The teen will be known to viewers of the ITV soap for playing Sean Tully's son Dylan Wilson.
Liam returned to the cobbles last year in the role of Dylan, the son of barman and Underworld machinist Sean and his friend Violet, after a brief appearance in 2020. Last summer, he headed up from London, where he lives with his mum, to spend some of the holidays with his dad and co on the cobbles.
But Dylan appeared to have enjoyed spending time with the other half of his family and making new friends through football and told his dad he didn't want to leave and soon made himself another resident of No.11.

He then offered an update in June and said: "GCSEs finally completed today. Hard work early mornings and late nights all worthwhile(hopefully). In for the best summer ever.....watch this space." His co-star Tony Maudsley was ready to celebrate, replying to the post: "Last day of exams?? WOOHOOO!!! We are ready for your close up, Mr McCheyne!! See ya soon."
And it appears Liam is set to return to the famous street with a big storyline in his hands. During Monday night's
