Scots police have joked that a thief had "no luck" after they tried to escape on foot following a chase.
Road Policing Scotland shared an image of one of their vehicles in front of a stolen white SUV on a residential road in Edinburgh. The picture was shared on X, formally Twitter, at around 10.15pm on Saturday.
The post explained that the driver decided to flee on foot after being confronted by police.
The individual was unable to escape during a chase. The man was then arrested for "numerous offences".
Officers said the vehicle was reported stolen six days before and it was recovered with no visible damage.
Posting on X, Road Policing Scotland said: "This stolen car was seen by #EdinburghRP today. Driver didn’t fancy his chances behind the wheel, so gave it legs.
"They had no luck with that either! Driver arrested for numerous offences. Vehicle stolen 6 days ago and now recovered with no damage. #DreamTeam #CantHide"
