Claudia Winkleman fans have been sharing their shock at seeing the Traitors presenter's pre-fringe look in a throwback TV appearance clip from the BBC. The resurfaced tweet posted in 2021 was a throwback from the BBC Archive account of Claudia appearing as a guest on Good Morning with Anne and Nick in 1996, where host Nick Owen introduced her as a "Chat Up Connoisseur".
She appeared on the sofa alongside "relationship expert" Ben Renshaw, who is now better known as a leadership coach and author, leaving viewers of the old clip astounded by her 90s look. Claudia, 51, has a trademark look of heavy, long fringe, thick eyeliner and matte lipstick which rarely changes, but back in 1996 she had gone for natural eye make-up, a shimmery lipstick, and while her hair was heavily swept to one side, some of her forehead was on display in the days before she discovered the fringe.
The clip's caption read: "#OnThisDay 1996: Good Morning with Anne and Nick drafted in some dating experts to provide some top tips for improving your pulling power." Claudia has been married to Kris Thykier since 2000, but in the interview recorded four years before her wedding, she shared her experiences of being approached by men. Asked by Nick if she was chatted up often, she admitted: "Hardly ever.
One time a boy came over to a friend of mine and after she'd told him to go away, he turned to me and said, 'I would have asked you, but you're a bit sure of yourself'." Asked for her top tips on flirting, she offered: "Eye contact. But it can be terrifying because you could be making eye contact from the other side of a bar for an hour and a half, and then he'll leave." She added: "There's nothing cool about chatting people up so you've just got to do it
