Christine Lampard was forced to issue an apology to viewers who tuned into Lorraine on Friday (August 25). The TV presenter, who is a regular Loose Women panellist, was back at the helm of the ITV breakfast show to cover for Lorraine Kelly.
Each year as Lorraine takes her annual summer break, relief presenters Christine and Ranvir Singh alternate roles to step in for her. On Friday's installment, it was Christine who fronted the programme whilst interviewing a range of guests.
As part of the 9am show, the 44-year-old spoke to Channel 4 Made In Chelsea stars Ollie and Gareth Locke who have just welcomed their twins via a surrogate. The couple brought they baby girl and boy, Apollo Magnus Obi and Cosima Emily Bex, onto the ITV show whilst they chatted to the host.

The new dads spoke about their difficult and long journey to becoming parents. Gareth told Christine: "It's been over three years and actually the last time our surrogate went through the miscarriage I just thought to myself 'maybe this just isn't going to happen'.
"Nothing shows you how much you want it more than going through what we have gone through." But after the guests introduced their twins and told their story, Gareth accidentally slipped-up live on air.
Whilst talking about Shania Twain who was set to appear on the show following the couple, Christine asked the men if they were fans of the singer.
The new dad-of-two said: "I met her actually at The Brits", before he added: "I ran up to her but I was a bit p**sed so I can't remember what I said."
A stunned Christine was then quickly forced to apologise for the guest swearing before the watershed.
