Brentford have strongly condemned racial abuse aimed at their defender Ethan Pinnock on social media, following their 2-1 defeat at Manchester United on Saturday.
Thomas Frank's side were on course for a first win at Old Trafford since 1937, having held on to an early lead given to them by Mathias Jensen. The Danish midfielder fired past a hapless Andre Onana on 26 minutes after a string of defensive errors.
But Scott McTominay scored twice in added-time to turn the tide. The midfielder fired home in the 93rd minute before heading in the winner in the 97th minute.

In a statement posted on their official Twitter account, Brentford said: "Brentford FC strongly condemns the cowardly racial abuse directed at our player, Ethan Pinnock, on Instagram. Racial discrimination is a stain on our sport and society and we will continue to fight against it
"We have initiated an investigation and will be seeking the support of the police and Meta to identify the perpetrator and hold them accountable
"This is a crime, yet it happens all too often. When can we expect the social media companies to fully use their resources and technology to provide us with the safer online experience many of us want? Ethan has our full support at this time."
Pinnock joined Brentford in 2019 and has made 158 appearances for the Bees across all competitions, helping them gain promotion to the Premier League in 2021. The Jamaican international signed a new four-year deal with his club in May.
