Wright said: "It was a good turnaround. You have to say that Brentford did defend very well but when McTominay came on, it was almost the last throw of the dice from United. When he came on, he was obviously told to get straight up in the box.
"United went a lot more direct, which is something I thought they should have been doing. McTominay was right there, getting in the box."
He continued: "This is what United do, they want their wingers to be in one-vs-one situations to create something. It was poor from the goalkeeper, but that was a fantastic reaction and finish. Garnacho does fantastic, but that [the touch and finish from McTominay], was top, top quality."
