An attempted murder investigation has been launched after a man was stabbed in Bury.
The knife attack happened on Haworth Walk in Radcliffe at around 11.55pm on Tuesday night (August 29). Police said a man was 'targeted' by another man with a knife.
The 44-year-old suffered injuries to his neck and back. He was rushed to hospital from the scene.
He remains there in a serious but stable condition, police said. The attacker fled the scene but was found by a member of the public a short distance away near the Parish of St Thomas and St John Church on New Church Street.
Yesterday, a male - aged 18 - was arrested. He remains in custody to be quizzed by detectives.

Police have launched an attempted murder probe and are now working to piece together what happened. Officers believe it was 'targeted'.
