Four men have been formerly charged in connection with the death of a man after an alleged incident in Manchester city centre, Greater Manchester Police said today.

A murder investigation is underway following the death of a 14-year-old boy stabbed in Harpurhey. A boy of the same age is being quizzed by police following the incident in the Manchester neighbourhood on Friday evening (September 15).
The child remains in custody. Police and paramedics were scrambled to Tavistock Square at around 6pm. The victim was worked on by paramedics at the scene before being rushed to hospital.
In the early hours of Saturday, Greater Manchester Police confirmed the boy had died. His next of kin has been informed. Specialist officers are supporting his loved ones.

A section 60 stop and search order is now in place following the tragedy. It runs until 8.26pm on Saturday evening. A police scene is still in place.
Detective Superintendent Phil Key said: "Firstly I would like to share my deepest condolences with the family at this unbelievably difficult time. Our family liaison officers are currently working with them and we will continue to support the family throughout this extremely troubling period.
"A section 60 authority has been put in place which will run for 24 hours and finish at 8.26pm this evening, we have taken this course of action to keep the public who live and work within the vicinity of the incident safe.
"We understand the use of a section 60 can cause concern to local residents; however, we use these powers only when proportionate and necessary.
"By enforcing the Section 60 in the area, we will work to minimise any violent behaviour and prevent any further serious incidents going forward as our main priority
