BBC Strictly Come Dancing star misses It Takes Two appearance due to illness ahead of live show

Strictly Come Dancing contestant Adam Thomas had to miss a scheduled appearance on BBC spin-off show It Takes Two tonight - just 24 hours before he is due to dance the American Smooth on Saturday's live show.
Adam's professional dance partner Luba Mushtuk appeared on the show alone as she explained that Adam "didn't feel very well" and was resting up ahead of his next performance.
Welcoming the dancer to the show, presenter Fleur East told the audience Luba's celebrity partner was "under the weather". Asked how he was doing, Luba explained: "He is resting now. He just didn't feel very well but he is resting and getting ready for tomorrow night, so everything will be fine." She added it felt "so strange" to be on the show alone.

It comes as the soap actor has been struck by a mystery illness in recent days. In the run-up to last week's show, Adam was having a tough time, admitting that he 'didn't know' his routine just days before the live show.
He was said to have been 'banned' from rehearsals due to fears over his illness spreading. According to reports, the actor was stopped from training over BBC bosses' concerns that the winter flu could wipe out the cast.
It seemed all was well when Saturday night came around and Adam and Luba took to the stage to perform a couples choice routine to a Backstreet Boys medley, which Shirley Ballas said had made her "emotional”. But his absence from tonight's It Takes Two suggests the former Emmerdale star is still not back to full health.
