They wowed the judges for weeks but after receiving some criticism from the judges and landing in the dreaded dance-off, Strictly Come Dancing pairing Angela Rippon and Kai Widdrington are said to be 'slipping behind' their competition.
The veteran broadcaster was seen in the ballroom on Saturday night (November 4) as the BBC One dance contest reached the halfway mark. Sporting a blue dress with a sparkly bodice, Angela glided around the floor with her professional dance partner Kai during their elegant waltz. to Fascination by Nat King Cole.
They picked up a score of 28 from the judges as they gave the couple some rare criticism and advice. The result left them near the bottom of the leaderboard and later facing the red light treatment as they were part of the latest dance-off with Waterloo Road star Adam Thomas and his dance partner Luba Mushtuk.

Both couples had to reprise their routines before the judges unanimously voted to save Angela and Kai, leaving Manchester actor Adam as the sixth celebrity to be sent home. The result left a number of Strictly fans fuming and it's fair to say not all Strictly viewers agreed with the decision and believe the judges disregarded Angela's 'mistakes'.
