Strictly Come Dancing star Zara McDermott was forced to leave rehearsals early as she rushed to hospital after learning her boyfriend required medical attention over concerns about his kidneys.
The Love Island star is currently working tirelessly to perfect her choreography with partner Graziano di Prama on the dance show to avoid finding herself in the bottom two for a third time.
However, it's been reported that the 26-year-old made an exception to her strict routine in the studio over an emergency involving her beau of four years, Sam Thompson.
Speaking on his podcast, Staying Relevant with co-host Pete Wicks, the 31-year-old radio presenter opened up about his fears that he was suffering with kidney disease after experiencing severe pain in his abdomen.
He even recalled that he believed he was on death's door as he thanked his best mate Pete for coming with him to the hospital for moral support, the Mirror reports.
Sam said: "You came to me when I thought I was dying and you literally were there for me," he said, to which The Only Way is Essex star quipped, "Despite knowing there was nothing wrong with you."
Fortunately, the doctors told Sam that he was in good health and he was discharged with the all-clear.
At this point, Sam revealed he had even roped Zara into his medical 'crisis' as he admitted that she left Strictly rehearsals early to come visit him in the hospital.
While suppressing a fit of laughter, he told Pete: "Do you wanna know something worse? I made Zara leave her Strictly training early to come and see me at the doctors.
"And it was just for the guy to go, 'Yeah, you're fine'."
Zara first started dating Sam in 2019 after she messaged the Made in Chelsea star on social media.
