Strictly Come Dancing star Ellie Leach has spoken out after she made it through to another week in the competition following an emotional appearance in the ballroom. The actress and her dance partner Vito Coppola were among the 13 couples who performed during week four of the competition on Saturday night (October 14).
The couple opened the show with her Italian dance partner with a lively samba to Copacabana by Barry Manilow. Dressed in a vibrant pink feathered dress, Bury-born Ellie looked fantastic as she twirled and dipped her way to a score of 28.
But the pair faced some criticism from the judges. Head judge Shirley Ballas said Leach had "mastered" the dance from the waist upwards but advised her to focus on her footwork. And as Ellie and Vito headed up to speak to co-host Claudia Winkleman alongside her fellow celebrities and the professional dancers, the former soap star was left in tears.

She was quickly consoled by Claudia before turning to Italian dance partner Vito and saying: "I just feel like I've let you down a little bit. Sorry!"
But Ellie has since bounced back and was seen looking thrilled as she and Vito made it through to week five of the 2023 run. Sharing a video of the moment they found out they were safe for another week, the 22-year-old typed on her Instagram Story: "Unbelievably grateful to everyone who voted for us and supports
