Angela Scanlon and Carlos Gu have addressed backlash surrounding their latest performance on the BBC dance contest. The couple appeared on Strictly Come Dancing's spin-off show It Takes Two on Tuesday (Oct 31) to reflect on their last dance during Halloween week.
The TV presenter and her professional dance partner opened the live show on Saturday (Oct 28) with their Paso Doble to a piece of classical music from Swan Lake. The Irish broadcaster, 39, stunned in a striking black bodysuit with feather detailing and a bold mask as she paced around the ballroom.
Following their performance, each of the judges scored the pair an '8' except for Anton who gave a '9', giving them a total score of 33 points. But during the performance, viewers made complaints about the music choice, which was performed by the live band.

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, on Saturday night, one fan @bethholivia wrote: "To be fair I’d have given Angela a 10 for getting through that music because what the hell was that? I swear some couples are deliberately screwed over for music choices #strictly."
@JillHudson21 tweeted: "Think that music was wrong for Angela," as @smiain182 agreed: "Angela was very good. Just a bit put off by ballet music in Paso Doble," and @caronmlindsay echoed: "Weird for a paso. Let down by music choice again. Swans and bulls are very different. But Angela and Carlos did the best they could - full of drama."
