Claudia Winkleman has revealed she and the Strictly Come Dancing team were left emotional when finding out one of the celebrities who made up this year's line-up. 15 more famous faces signed up for the 2023 run of the BBC One dance contest and the couples have been whittling down since.
Last week marked the halfway mark in the competition with just another week standing between the celebrities and their professional dancers and the famous Blackpool week.
Still vying for the chance to perform in the iconic Tower Ballroom and to lift the Glitterball trophy are Angela Rippin and Kai Widdrington, Angela Scanlon and Carlos Gu, Annabel Croft and Johannes Radebe, Bobby Brazier and Dianne Buswell, Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola, Krishnan Guru-Murphy and Lauren Oakley, Layton Williams and Nikita Kumzin and Nigel Harman and Katya Jones.

Now, Claudia has revealed that the Strictly team were actually in tears when they heard veteran broadcast Angela had agreed to appear on the show. The 79-year-old has been wowing the judges despite landing in the dance-off last weekend but in good news, she's now she has signed up for the show's live arena tour.
Claudia, 51, said: "It’s such an honour that Angela Rippon would say yes, we almost all cried. Annabel Croft is a national treasure. Every single one of the celebrities is great. I love the fact that it spans all ages."
