Two couples who 'will be in the final' of Strictly Come Dancing have been named after their body language was analysed. The 2023 run of the BBC One dance contest reached the halfway mark over the weekend.
The latest live show saw Ellie Leach impress the judges once again with lifts, twirls and dips to top the leaderboard.
The former Coronation Street star performed the American Smooth with partner Vito Coppola to Robbie Williams' rendition of Ain’t That A Kick In The Head, while sporting a red sparkly dress with a feather collar to claim a near-perfect but still a top score of 39 out of a possible 40.

Meanwhile, after kicking off Saturday’s show, actor Layton Williams came second on the leaderboard having delivered quick footwork, a pirouette and an aerial cartwheel to secure a score of 36 – the highest-scoring jive of the series so far. Donning a matching glitzy costume with his partner Nikita Kuzmin, they performed to Shake Your Body by SHY FX & T Power featuring Di.
Then in third place was Annabel Croft who had the judges and viewers in tears with a emotional couple’s choice dance in tribute to her late husband. The former champion tennis player's husband of 36 years, Mel Coleman, died from cancer aged 60 in May – 16 weeks after diagnosis. And for the routine to Wings by Birdy, Annabel glided across the dance floor dressed in an elegant flowing dress to secure a score of 35.
Meanwhile, at the other end of the leaderboard was Angela Scanlon and her dance partner Carlos Gu who delivered an energetic samba to Ain’t It Funny by
