Fans of BBC Gladiators are "gutted" for a contender who had to pull out of the quarter finals after sustaining a nasty injury to his knee during the heats.
Contender Finley, from Doncaster, appeared on tonight's episode of the revived game show with his leg in a support as it was confirmed that he couldn't take part in the quarter finals. The 22-year had won his place after bravely battling through his final challenge despite hurting himself earlier on in the competition
On Saturday's show, Finley gave an update on his injury, telling host Bradley Walsh: "My knee has lost a lot of strength but I'm staying positive and I'm very hopeful for the future. Back next year - fitter faster and stronger."

Finley had to be seen by the medics when he injured his knee during the Gauntlet challenge in an earlier episode. He managed to continue with the heats but it appears his injury was worse than he initially hoped. Fans were sad to see him withdraw from the competition and sent him messages of support on social media.
"Oh Finley no, his heat is worth a watch and he is literally a legend for winning his heat with a leg injury," one viewer wrote. Another added: "Finley will be back next year all guns blazing. Shame because he was brilliant in the heats until that unfortunate injury".
A third said: "Gutted for Finley, he was brilliant - hope he gets another chance." Referring to his injury, another said: "That doesn't look good". A fifth said: "Get well soon Finley".
